Vendor terms
Listing
- Creating an account and listing your profile is free during this early phase.
- You confirm that the information, photos and videos you add are accurate and that you have the right to use them.
- Veloure reviews every profile and may approve, edit, remove or decline a listing at its discretion.
Bookings and payments
- Couples request a date through Veloure. If you accept, you set the total price. The couple pays a deposit (currently 25% of the total) online through Stripe to secure the date, and the date is then blocked on your calendar.
- Veloure takes a commission of 5% of the booking total (our founding rate), deducted from the deposit. This rate is guaranteed for any booking you price before 1 January 2028, even if the deposit is paid later. After that the rate is subject to change, and we will give you advance notice of any change. You receive the rest of the deposit, and you collect the balance from the couple directly.
- You must complete Stripe's identity and payout verification before you can accept bookings. Stripe's own terms apply to payments.
After the deposit: the booking is yours
- Veloure acts as a booking agent only. Your contract for the service is directly with the couple, and you are responsible for providing it as agreed.
- Once the deposit is paid, you take over all communication with the couple. Please contact them within 48 hours to confirm the details.
- The balance, any changes, cancellations and refunds of the balance are agreed between you and the couple under your own terms. Please share your terms with the couple.
- You must hold public liability insurance for your services and keep it in place while listed on Veloure. We may ask to see it.
- You agree to cover Veloure for any claims, costs or losses arising from your services or from your failure to provide them (an indemnity).
- If a couple disputes a deposit with their bank because you did not provide the service, Veloure may recover the disputed amount from you, including from future payouts.
- If you cancel a confirmed booking, or cannot provide the service, the couple's deposit is refunded to them in full. You must repay the part of the deposit that was paid to you, and Veloure may recover it from your future payouts. Cancelling confirmed bookings without good reason may lead to your listing being removed.
- Keeping your availability calendar accurate is your responsibility. Do not take bookings for a date you have already committed elsewhere.
- Couples' contact details are shared with you once the deposit is paid. Before then, please keep the conversation on Veloure and do not ask couples to contact you directly.
- If a couple first contacted you through Veloure, any booking you take with them for that wedding within 12 months of their request must go through Veloure. If it is taken outside the site, Veloure's commission is still payable.
